Check 'em out: These necklaces are hand-crocheted using semi-precious stones and abalone shell buttons. The Ruggette necklace uses garnet, which can come in a variety of shades. This strand is a beautiful, deep red that turns almost pink in the light. These beads are not dyed and will not fade over time.
LIMITED TIME ONLY: As our Fall Maker in Residence, Kat's necklaces will be with us from October 1 - December 31 2020, so get them while you can!
Care Instructions: These necklaces are tough! Put it on and never take it off. They will stretch a little bit and relax as they are worn. If you want to speed up the process, soak your necklace in warm water for about 20 minutes, then you’re good to go!
A little more from Kat, the artist: Thread and Shred Designs is inspired by rugged womxn who shred wearing a little bit more than just their gear. Literally designed to wear anywhere and wear everywhere, they are the type of necklace you put on and don’t take off for a month. Or maybe a year. The kind of necklace that can withstand road trips and sleeping under the stars and puppy teeth and rivers and the ocean and sand and sweat from skiing or biking or hiking… The list goes on. And I’ve found some that came close. Until the chain broke from accidentally sleeping in it one too many times. Thread and Shred Designs fill that gap, as I myself am a self-proclaimed “jewelry girl” who also practically lives in sunglasses and some sort of helmet, plus the necklace (or two) that I always wear.
